Welcome to BenBenedict.com. There is a lot going on these days. I'm on the road quite a bit playing guitar for The Henhouse Prowlers. We're a bluegrass band based out of Chicago doing upwards of 200 - 250 shows a year.

We were recently asked to help provide the soundtrack for the 13 part PBS series 'The Ride Of Our Lives' - hosted and produced by Mike Leonard of NBC's Today Show. The show started showing around the country in January 2008. We're very excited to be a part of it. Make sure and check your local PBS listings to find out when it's playing in your area.

The band is also going into the studio. We hope to have the new album done and ready to go by IBMA 2008. We're lucky to have a couple of great guys helping us out with it - Greg Cahill (of Special Consensus) and mandolin legend Don Stiernberg will both be sitting in the producers chair. Two very talented musicians and great guys to boot.
